Mt. Arafune is located at the border of Gunma Pref. and Nagano Pref., and has very impressive rock called 'Tomo Iwa' on top of the mountain.
Most useful trail is the one from the Uchiyama Toge Pass.
From the 'Tomo iwa' rock, you has nice view of the north side.

After the walking of 3h20min, you can see the 'Arafune windhole' which is designated as World cultural heritage in 2014.
This natural windhole has been used as the cold storage for silkworm egg in 1905-1943 and it has contributed for the industrial progress.
