Nakasendo Old mountain trail at Usui Toge and Wada Toge pass

#Tokyo-Yokokawa by JR Shinetsu-sen, sight seeing to 'Megane bridge' which has been designed as railway bridge by Mr. Charles Assheton Whately Pownall who was UK engineer and invited by Japanese government in 1882. This brick bridge has been used until 1963 when the another railway pass was constructed. Now the old railway was reused as a walking trail.

Nakasendo is one of the major road during the Edo era. Usui toge pass and Wada toge pass were both very severe and tough mountain trail in Nakasendo.
It is calm old trail and easy to walk since many people has walked in long duration.
You can enjoy to feel history in Japan through this trail walk.

Nakasendo is one of the major road during the Edo era. Wada toge pass are also tough mountain trail and has high elevation and cause heavy snow fall in winter season in Nakasendo.
In Wada toge and Wada-toge peak, you can enjoy very nice view of South-Alps, Central Alps, Yatsugatake mountains, Mt. Ontake, Mt. Norikura, North Alps and Mt. Asama.
