Mt. Tengu-dake has twin peaks (Higashi=East and Nishi=West) and it has remarkably high elevation among North Yatsugatake mountains. It is located near Ioh dake which is biggest volcano in the Yatsugatake mountains.
You can select the sleep in either the Shirabiso hut or Tent near the hut.
You may enjoy the calm trail with a lot of moss.
From the top of the mountains, the nice view of 360 degrees can be enjoyed. At the south of the summit of East Tengu-dake, you will find many alpine flowers such as Japanese Edelweiss.
After the hike, nice onsen (hot spring) in Inago-yu are also recommended since the quality of the hot water is good with many natural sulfur and ion.
