(1)Ashio Old Copper mine
'Watarase Keikoku Tetsudo' is so famous for its beautiful riverside railway route and colored leaves in the Watarase valley mountains in autumn season.
Ashio old copper mine has been used between 1610-1973 (400years) as the National mine. Mamimum total length of the copper mining galley is around 1200km.
Sulfurous acid gas and polluted water has impacted to the mountaines and river nearby however now it has been recovered.
The old mine has been reserved as the valuable siteseeing place at this moment so you could enjoy a part of huge mine with many exibition and figure replica.

This old hotel has been constructed in 1873 and so famous as the oldest resort hotel in Japan.
In the past, Dr. Albert Einstein and other VIPs have stayed from the World and enjoyed the beautiful gardens and hotel life.
You can enter directly and have some drinks and foods in the hotel as a visitor.
They serve special local beer named as 'Nikko Three Wise Monkeys Beer'.
