Izu Shimoda, Enjoy the histrical trip and early-blooming cherry trees.
Schedule
Day1:1st day: JR Tokyo-Izu kyu Shimoda station (3 hours, by using 'JR Minami-Izu free ticket'*), walk to the 'Gyokusen-ji temple**' and back to the Hotel (Kurohune hotel, http://www.kurofune-hotel.com/lang/en.html).
Day2:2nd day:Walk in Shimoda city, such as 'Street of Commodore Perry***', Houhuku-ji temple, and move to Kawadu station to see the festival of early-blooming cherry trees**** which is held from early February to March. Then back to Tokyo.

*JR Minami-Izu free ticket: The price is 6,160yen and you can pass through from Tokyo to Izu area and go around at Izu area. This train is called 'Odoriko-gou' in which Odoriko means the dancing girls in old time.
**Mr. Tawnsend Harris has stayed in this temple to make the 'Treaty of Amity and Commerce Between the United States and the Empire of Japan' in 1858.
***Commodore Matthew C. Perry presented a message from the President of the United States to the Edo bakufu (Japanese feudal government headed by a shogun), which resulted in a treaty between the United States and the Empire of Japan in 1854. Commodore Perry's eBlack Ships' roused the Japanese people from their long peaceful sleep.

Odoriko-gou is the famous scenic train from Tokyo to Izu-Shimoda which has a big window and nice ocean view. Fantastic seafood restaurant called 'Tokuzoumaru' in front of Shimoda station
